Asheville Bachelor & Bachelorette Party Ideas
Asheville has recently become a prime destination for bachelor and bachelorette parties. This North Carolina mountain city has it all, from breweries and live music to unique downtown tours and the great outdoors. It’s easy to get here by car or plane! For affordable flights right into Asheville look at Allegiant Air or Spirit Airlines. The airports of Charlotte, NC, and Greenville-Spartanburg, SC are also an easy drive away. There are plenty of accommodation options for large groups, from walkable downtown hotels to a mountain retreat on VRBO or Airbnb. For smaller groups of six people or less, one of the pristine bungalows at Asheville Cottages are a perfect option.
But how should your group celebrate once you get here? No bachelor or bachelorette weekend would be complete without a fun-filled itinerary. To make your planning easier, here’s a sample schedule full of recommended things to do on a weekend trip to experience everything Asheville has to offer!
Friday / Day 1
Morning:
Everyone arrives
Afternoon:
Grab a casual lunch downtown at Green Sage Cafe, Chai Pani, or Farm Burger.
Get to know the city and see some spectacular sights during an afternoon electric bike tour with The Flying Bike. You’ll feel bionic as you easily climb Asheville’s hills and cover more of Asheville than you could on foot in just a few hours.
Evening:
Bar or brewery hop in the South Slope neighborhood. We love Burial Beer Co., Wicked Weed’s Funkatorium, Urban Orchard, The Chemist, and Hi-Wire Brewery. Not only do our breweries have a great beer, but a number of them have a full menu with excellent food. If you’d like to take any of Asheville’s craft brews home with you visit Tasty Beverage Company. No need to worry about how to get your goods home, this market will ship the beverages of your choice straight to your door! See the map below for more breweries to visit:
Afterwards check out the Friday Night Drum Circle at Pritchard Park, a longtime Asheville tradition popular with both locals and visitors.
If you’re still feeling adventurous, try an escape room experience nearby at The Conundrum or Breakout Games. No pressure- they give you hints if your group is stumped!
Saturday / Day 2
Morning:
Immerse yourself in the mountains during a yoga hike with Namaste in Nature or a waterfall tour or day hike with Asheville Hiking Tours.
Afternoon:
Lunch in the River Arts District (12 Bones, White Duck Taco Shop, Fresh Wood Fired Pizza, or The Grey Eagle Taqueria) while you explore the area. Some of our favorite stops are the eclectic Phil Mechanic Studios, ceramics at The Odyssey Center, and North Carolina Glass Center- where anyone can give glass blowing a try. Be ready for some amazing group photos with the plentiful street art as a backdrop! Otherwise, try a relaxed Rooftop Bar Tour downtown.
Evening:
Enjoy a delicious, eclectic dinner at Nine Mile (Caribbean), Kathmandu Kitchen (Nepalese), Plant (Vegan), Buxton Hall BBQ (Southern) or Blue Dream Curry House (International).
Cocktails at Sovereign Remedies or BYOB, as you safely pedal on the Amazing Pub Cycle.
If you’d like to see some authentic mountain music and dancing, Saturday’s Shindig on the Green is one of our favorites and free! You can also find music at 5 Walnut Wine Bar, Jack of the Wood, The Mothlight and more:

Sunday / Day 3
Morning:
Breakfast or Brunch at Sunny Point Cafe, Biscuithead, Benne on Eagle or All Day Darling. Note, most Asheville breakfast or brunch places will have a wait on the weekend! If you need to grab a quick bite, try The Rhu or City Bakery.
Afternoon
Spend the day at the Biltmore Estate, or get outdoors again by taking a zipline tour with Navitat Canopy Adventures or floating down our local river with French Broad Outfitters. Alternatively, you can relax and enjoy the beautiful grounds of Sierra Nevada Brewing (conveniently near the airport!)

Keep in mind there are also lots of festivals going on in and around Asheville throughout the year that can add even more local flavor to your weekend. We hope this makes planning your bachelor or bachelorette party a little bit easier and we’d love to see you soon!
