JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Who should apply?

Calling all Storytellers!  The Flying Bike is looking for charismatic storytellers and bike enthusiasts who want to share Asheville’s history, art, culture, and community with travelers from all walks of life. Our guides bring Asheville’s stories to life, share the joy of biking, and care for our customers like they are family. Most of our guide positions are part-time with the potential to grow into full-time seasonal work as our business grows.

Bike Advocates, please apply. While you don’t need to be an everyday bike commuter or avid cyclist, we are all bike enthusiasts and at least casual bike riders. You need to be comfortable on a bike, be able to teach the basics of riding an electric bike to others and be able to guide a small group of riders around the city safely. Whether you’ve been riding for 1 year or 10 years, be ready to share your love of biking (commuter, road, mountain, electric…) with others. Bike maintenance skills are great to have, but not mandatory.

Are you creative? Part of the role of our guides is capturing photos of our tours and city surroundings as well as contributing to our social media platforms. There may also be opportunities for you to use your talents in writing, videography, photography, website management, marketing, and tour design.
