Join our expert guides for a Winter Explorer Ride that taps into Asheville from a local’s perspective!

Designed for you curious explorers who are comfortable riding a little farther and a little faster than we typically go on our other tours. This is an ebike ride for bicycle lovers. All Explorer Rides follow safety-vetted routes unique to each guide, which pass along neighborhood streets, greenways and dedicated bikeways. Your guide will make quick stops to showcase sweeping views, historic and artistic points of interest as well as introduce you to their personal favorite places. This is a ride for those who appreciate the simplicity of a good off-the-beaten-path route and the company of a friendly guide.
Even with the cold weather upon us, a winter bike ride can be fun and enjoyable. We will provide the extra gear needed to stay warm throughout your ride, and we plan our stops so that you can warm up in between miles. The quieter streets actually make this a perfect time to explore Asheville! The RAD West Tour is our Winter Explorers Ride through the River Arts District (RAD) and West Asheville. Route highlights include breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, an indoor art studio stroll, taking in the scenery along the French Broad River greenway, and a local coffee shop stop. We will return to our shop by way of the Historic Montford Neighborhood.

  • Difficulty: Easy for most riders
  • Distance: Approximately 13.5 miles

Our Pedego Electric Bikes

We ride a blended fleet of the highly trusted Pedego electric bikes, which we also sell! The Boomerang is accessible for most any rider, with the lowest step-through height on the market. The City Commuter is a very approachable around-town bike, The element is a steady, stable and fun fat-tire bike. And the Pedego Stretch is our bike capable of carrying children up to 130lbs. We’ll match you to the ideal bike when you arrive. With both pedal assist and throttle power, it will help you up those Asheville hills! The best thing about this bike is you can choose how much pedal assistance you’d like, so you can get a workout or relax and let the motor do the work for you.
