{What is a custom tour?}

Rather than following our usual private tour route, a custom tour allows for a bit of flexibility. If you’re an Art Deco enthusiast, we can tailor your tour to focus on all the Art Deco architecture that Asheville is renowned for. If culture is your thing, we won’t miss out on all the art studios and breweries that inhabit Asheville’s diverse neighborhoods. Tell us about your interests and we’ll design a unique tour route that includes all of the sites we think you’ll love.

The Pedego Boomerang Plus is the lowest step-through electric bike on the market, meaning it’s easy to mount and comfortable to ride! With both pedal assist and throttle power, it will help you up those Asheville hills! The best thing about this bike is you can choose how much pedal assist you’d like, so you can get a workout or relax and let the motor do the work. We offer cargo bikes and child seats as well. Those who are not old enough to ride an electric bike on their own or do not feel comfortable doing so are welcome to ride as a passenger on another guest’s bike.

We provide:

Discover Asheville Up Close

Join us on a sweeping tour of downtown Asheville, see our favorite landmarks and local haunts, and learn just what makes Asheville the beloved destination of adventure-seekers, culture vultures and art fanatics alike.

Beginning at our shopoin South Slope, we’ll ride through this up-and-coming historic neighborhood of breweries, art galleries and studios, and shops. We’ll continue on to the Basilica of St. Lawrence. Built between 1906-1909 by renowned architect Rafael Guastavino, the Basilica’s unsupported dome, stained glass windows, and general grandeur make it one of the jewels among Asheville’s already-impressive collection of architecture. Next, we’ll head through the historic district of Montford, a mostly residential neighborhood that boasts extraordinary examples of Asheville’s rich architectural heritage.

We’ll next explore the Omni Grove Park Inn, take in stunning views of the scenery surrounding Asheville, and then continue on towards Pack Square where we can check out the First Baptist Church and City Hall. In addition to key historical sites, this private tour of downtown Asheville points out local hotspots, our favorite and off-the-beaten path eateries and hangouts, and plenty of opportunities to gaze upon and learn about Asheville’s historic and Art Deco architecture.

*This is the set itinerary for our private tours. If there is something specific you’d like to see that is not on our route and you are interested in a custom tour, contact us. We are familiar with a variety of city sights and neighborhoods and love designing custom tours!
